Unik krucifikssamling ser dagens lys
In Museum Lolland-Falster huge item collection are nine early-Gothic korbuekrucifikser (ca. 1300-1330). In 2006, the then Lolland Falsters stiftsmuseum granted-ENB-funds (Singular National importance) from the then heritage protection agency for the preservation of krucifikserne, and since it has been a wish to implement them in a new exhibition.
"With the new exhibition comes the unique crucifixes really to their right. They will be set up in a darkened room with special lighting and without other objects to disrupt the experience. In the room there will be particular emphasis on the story about each restoration work results, crucifixes, their design and the craftsmanship behind "says Tuan Lauritsen, medieval archaeologist at the Museum of Lolland-Falster. Korbue-or krucifikserne, as they are also called triumph, originated from the island of Lolland-Account churches: Hillested, Holeby, Mississauga, Horreby, Karleby, Mouse, Nr. From the Church to the loft to museum
Korbue-or krucifikserne, as they are also called triumph, originated from the island of Lolland-Account churches: Hillested, Holeby, Mississauga, Horreby, Karleby, Mouse, Nr. Stony Creek, Forest long and Torslunde. Krucifikserne is ongoing inddeponeret in the Museum's collection during the period 1889-1930s, but in the context of the preservation work leaving the Parish Council involved generously krucifikserne to the Museum. Krucifikserne spent their first time as korbuekrucifikser, but as time went on, and the churches got new and more up-to-date crucifixes, they were moved into the Church, and many ended their days on the Church's ceiling. But now it's time to once again to be out among the living and excite the public. D. 31. October 2014 opens the exhibition "OMG-an exhibition of a unique collection of crucifixes and the medieval church" at the Diocesan Museum in Maribo, where it is possible to see the krucifikserne again. In addition to the nine crucifixes consists of an introduction space exhibition with General information about medieval church and church furniture from the Museum's collection. In addition, as a curiosity, in the exhibition can be seen the remains of the baptismal font, in which Valdemar Atterdag according to legend was baptized, and which until recently stood outside Little Rock Church.
